Nariman Gurbanov, Head of the Apparatus of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, has passed away.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the deceased's colleagues.
N. Gurbanov had turned 65 three days ago. He was the son of prose writer and film dramatist Ahmadagha Muganli, and the brother of Araz Gurbanov, leading consultant of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center.
Nariman Gurbanov previously held various positions at the Baku City Executive Power, the Main State Tax Inspectorate of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, and the Ministry of Culture.

For his distinguished service in the public-political life and labor of the republic, Nariman Gurbanov was awarded the "For Distinction in Civil Service" medal in 2010, the "Taraggi" (Progress) medal in 2012, and the "Honored Civil Servant of the Republic of Azerbaijan" medal in 2017.
