Modern.az referring to open sources, reports that 39-year-old Azerbaijani director Javad Ganji, from the city of Hamadan, was shot by security forces during street protests in Tehran's Sadeghiyeh district.
He worked in cinema and television as a director and assistant director, worked behind the scenes for many years, and was considered a professional in the field of film production.
