Our compatriot Ruslan Shakirovich Aslanov, who fought in Ukraine as part of the Russian army, is asking the public for help.
Modern.az reports that our compatriot, who states that he was deceived into signing a contract for service in the military unit where he was undergoing compulsory military service, was forced to serve beyond his term in the 1st battalion of the 128th brigade of military unit No. 41772 of the Russian army to fight in Ukraine. He stated that a commander nicknamed "Groza" in the military unit threatened to kill him.
For this reason, Ruslan Aslanov left the territory of the military unit and is hiding in an undisclosed location. He has been living as a fugitive for more than 1 year, and during this period, the Russian prosecutor's office opened a criminal case against him on charges of "desertion".
Ruslan Aslanov states that he is ready to surrender to law enforcement agencies, but requests that he be provided with security guarantees.
"They accuse me of leaving my military unit in the Russian Army. The reason I left the military unit is that my own commanders wanted to kill me. But the point is, I did not sign a contract for myself. I was deceived while in military service. For a year now, I have been trying to uncover the truth. After my appeal, I have all the evidence that the Ministry of Defense and the FSB detained all the culprits, but I am still considered a fugitive. If you have the means and connections with higher authorities, I ask you to help me. I am ready to cooperate with the investigation and have no desire to hide anywhere," he noted.
