Businessman Asif Mammadov, chairman of the regional public organization "National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis of Ivanovo Oblast", has been deprived of Russian citizenship by the Russian Federal Security Service for "activities posing a threat to national security".
Modern.az reports that Russian Telegram channels disseminated information about this.
It should be recalled that last year, Asif Mammadov was accused of not knowing the Russian language and of "loyalty to the President of Azerbaijan" and was forced to withdraw from the City Duma elections.
