The Hamas movement confirmed that Hammam al-Hayya, son of Khalil al-Hayya, one of the organization's leaders, and his office director were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike on a headquarters belonging to the leadership in Qatar.
Modern.az reports that Suhail al-Hindi, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, stated this in a statement to Al Jazeera.
He said that the Hamas leadership survived the attack. According to him, the primary responsibility for the attack lies with the United States:
“The free world must take a stand on this issue. We consider the US administration to be responsible for this attack,” al-Hindi emphasized.
It should be recalled that today, the Israeli army and Shin Bet (Shabak) struck a headquarters belonging to the Hamas leadership in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that this decision was a response to the terrorist attacks that occurred in Jerusalem and Gaza.
