According to "Al-Hadath" channel, the attack was carried out against “Hamas” leaders who were discussing the US ceasefire proposal. High-ranking officials of the organization were in the building:
Leader in the Gaza Strip and head of the negotiation team Khalil al-Hayya,
Head of the movement's office abroad Khaled Meshaal,
Commander of the group in the West Bank of the Jordan River Zaher Jabarin,
Political bureau members Nizar Awadallah and Ghazi Hamad.
Additionally, other high-level representatives of the organization were also reported to be at the meeting at the time of the incident.
"Al Jazeera" television channel reported that “Hamas” leaders survived after the explosion.
