Former President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated that the issue of power change in the country is always on the agenda.
Modern.az reports this, citing Armenian media.
According to him, the “most correct and optimal way” for this is to express no confidence in the government and the prime minister, i.e., to declare impeachment.
Sargsyan emphasized that parliament is a place not only for speaking but also for listening: “Look at international experience: yesterday two major events occurred in the world - in Nepal and France. There are two ways to overthrow power or express no confidence. One is through violence and killings, as in Nepal, and the other is through parliament, as in France. Which one should we offer to our people?” he noted in his speech.
When asked by journalists about the reason for his disagreement with second president Robert Kocharyan on this topic, Sargsyan evaded answering and said: “I had asked not to ask questions about the second president.”
