Charlie Kirk, a prominent right-wing activist and executive director of "Turning Point USA" in the US, was subjected to an armed attack during a debate.

The university administration announced in a notification sent to students that the suspect had been apprehended. According to official information, only Kirk was injured in the incident. Images circulated on social media showed moments when an unknown person struck Kirk in the neck area. "Fox News" reported that he was hospitalized in serious condition.
A representative of the university police also confirmed that shots were fired on campus. The FBI has launched an investigation into the incident.
The attack has resonated in US politics. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Vice President J.D. Vance, and other Republicans have issued statements supporting Kirk.
