US President Donald Trump called on NATO countries to stop buying Russian oil and to impose high tariffs on China.
Modern.az reports that Trump made a post about this on the “Truth Social” network.
According to him, these steps will weaken Moscow's dependence on Beijing and bring the end of the war closer.
“I am ready to impose serious sanctions, but only if NATO countries take the same step and stop buying Russian oil. It is shocking that some states are still buying this oil, and it weakens their position in negotiations. Additionally, NATO should impose 50-100 percent tariffs on China, and then abolish them after the war ends. This will break Russia's dependence on China.”
He also claimed that if he were president, the war would never have started:
“This is not Trump's war; it is Biden's and Zelenskyy's war. I just want to stop it and save thousands of lives. More than 7,000 people lost their lives just last week.”
Trump noted that if NATO followed his plan, the war would end in a short time: “Otherwise, you are just wasting my time, as well as the time, energy, and money of the United States.”
