Syrian authorities have postponed the parliamentary elections, scheduled to be held on September 15–20, to a later date.
Modern.az reports that the Central Election Commission has issued a statement on this matter.
Navar Najma, a representative of the Commission, stated that preparations for the elections have not been fully completed. In particular, the formation of structures responsible for organizing the voting and admitting candidates to the elections has not been finalized.
Currently, it is not precisely known when the elections will be held.
