It is reported that serious health problems have arisen for Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, and consequently, his role in the republic's governance has diminished.
Modern.az reports that the information was disseminated by "Unian".
According to the information, news regarding the deterioration of Kadyrov's health has recently become more frequent in both Russian and Chechen media. Journalist Irina Mishina noted that in recent videos, Kadyrov appears to have lost significant weight, moves with difficulty, and gives the impression of being unwell. According to her information, sources in Grozny have confirmed that a nephrostomy (a device ensuring the excretion of urine from the kidney) was installed for Kadyrov due to kidney problems.
Based on Mishina's claim, due to this complication in his health, Kadyrov has effectively been sidelined from governance. The leadership of the republic's government and key powers have been transferred to Prime Minister Magomed Daudov. Control over the power structures is expected to pass into the hands of his son, Adam Kadyrov.
In early August, local TV channels broadcast footage of Kadyrov inspecting construction work in a microdistrict named after Putin in Grozny. Kadyrov's slow movement and uneasy appearance in the footage did not go unnoticed. In September, a report on his visit to an educational center, where operators resorted to distant and short shots, raised additional suspicions.
It should be noted that nephrostomy is usually applied in severe kidney diseases. Although this medical intervention allows the patient to prolong their life, it requires a reduction in physical activity and a cautious lifestyle.
