The final results of the military operation carried out in Doha, the capital of Qatar, targeting the senior leadership of Hamas, are still being investigated.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a joint press conference held during US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to Israel.
“We are still collecting the final reports,” Netanyahu said in response to a question about the operation's results.
Netanyahu refused to classify the bombing of Doha as an unsuccessful operation. According to him, the main goal was to send a message to Israel's enemies:
“The main outcome of this attack is this: Israel's enemies must know that they will not go unpunished anywhere.”
It should be noted that the operation took place on September 9, 2025, during a meeting where US President Donald Trump's ceasefire proposal in the Gaza Strip was discussed. Hamas's headquarters in Doha was struck.
During the operation, 15 Israeli fighter jets and unmanned aerial vehicles participated. Israel stated that it carried out this operation in response to the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and the terrorist act committed in Jerusalem on September 8, 2025.
According to official Israeli information, 6 people were killed as a result of the airstrike. Five of them were affiliated with Hamas, and one was an employee of Qatar's security service:
Jihad Labad – Chief of Staff to Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya
Hamam Khalil al-Hayya – Son of Khalil al-Hayya

Muamen Hassouna – Technical staff member (advisor or guard)
