On September 18, Ukraine returned the bodies of another 1000 people from Russia.
Modern.az reports that the “Telegram” page of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners published information regarding this.
“Today, repatriation measures were carried out. 1000 bodies were returned to Ukraine. According to the Russian side, these belong to Ukrainian servicemen”, — the statement said.
In the near future, investigators from law enforcement agencies and expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct all necessary examinations and identification of the repatriated bodies.
It should be noted that Ukraine and Russia had reached an agreement on the repatriation of bodies in the “6000 for 6000” format during negotiations held in Istanbul.
