On October 5, parliamentary elections will be held in Syria.
Modern.az reports, citing the SANA agency, that these are the first parliamentary elections in Syria after the 14-year civil war and the recent change of power.
It is noted that elections to the 210-seat People's Assembly will be held in all constituencies. However, the election commission announced last month that the voting might be postponed in three provinces due to security reasons.
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has the authority to appoint one-third of the legislators.
