Claims have been circulated regarding the interruption of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's speech at the international conference held within the framework of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to **Modern.az**, the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency's Administration stated that heads of state and government were allocated 5 minutes for their speeches, while other speakers were given 3 minutes.

This rule was also applied to Erdoğan's speech.

“It is absolutely not possible for our President's speech to be left unfinished or interrupted. Simply, due to frequent interruptions by applause during the speech, the allotted time limit was exceeded, and according to technical regulations, the microphone automatically turned off at the end of the 5th minute. Mr. President completed his speech shortly thereafter,” the statement emphasized.

It was stated that the same technical procedure was also applied during the Indonesian President's speech.
