2400 soldiers from France will be sent to Romania by September 30.
Modern.az reports that the Romanian Ministry of Defense has released information on this matter.
They will participate in NATO's large-scale military exercises called “Dacian Fall 2025”.
The Ministry's statement notes that the French contingent, in addition to the NATO battle group located in the Cincu region, is entering Romania from today via the Giurgiu and Vama Veche border crossing points.
The exercises will be held from October 20 – November 13 at the Cincu, Smârdan, Capu-Midia, Babadag, Bogate, Alba Iulia, Hanu Conachi, Cermate, and Cârcișoara training grounds.
In total, 5,000 military personnel and 1,200 pieces of military equipment will be involved in the exercises. Troops will represent Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and France. The exercises will be conducted in Romania as well as in Bulgaria.
