Armenian and US officials have started negotiations on the 42-kilometer “Trump route” (Zangezur corridor - ed.) passing through Syunik province.
According to Modern.az, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a briefing held in Strasbourg that a US delegation recently visited Yerevan and held meetings with representatives of the government, as well as relevant agencies.
According to Pashinyan, the process requires time and is being conducted with a careful approach.
He added that the “TRIPP project” remains of interest to both the US and other international partners.
At the current stage, issues such as design, financing, and by whom the construction of the railway will be carried out are being discussed.
