Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani by phone and apologized for the strike on Doha.
Modern.az reports that Israel's Channel 12 reported this.
Reportedly, Netanyahu called the Emir of Qatar from the White House. He is currently holding a meeting with the US President.
It is reported that during Israel's attack on Hamas headquarters located in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on September 9, 2025, a meeting was held where US President Donald Trump's latest proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was discussed.
Reportedly, the main target was Khalil al-Hayya, one of the Hamas leaders. Al Jazeera TV channel, citing a source in the organization, reported that no Hamas leaders died as a result of the explosions, but five members, including Khalil al-Hayya's son and assistant, were killed.
The Qatari Ministry of Interior, however, confirmed that a local security officer also died as a result of the attack. Netanyahu expressed regret for this incident.
