Reports have emerged that Turkish-backed armed groups are preparing for a new military operation in northern Syria.
According to **Modern.az**, local channels reported that pro-Turkish armed groups were given an order to attack the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
It is noted that the main target is the vicinity of Deir Hafer and the Tishrin Dam. Heavy equipment and artillery have already been deployed in the region, and clashes have begun between the parties.
Kurdish forces, in turn, have deployed missile systems and unmanned aerial vehicles to the region. At the same time, the US-led international coalition supported the SDF by striking ISIS positions, and two commanders of the organization were detained.
Against the backdrop of this tension, the Syrian army is also strengthening its positions. Analysts warn that if the parties do not back down, it could lead to a large-scale confrontation in northeastern Syria.
