Turkish President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan came face-to-face with his former comrades-in-arms, DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan and Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu.
Modern.az reports that the incident occurred during an official reception held during the new session of the Turkish parliament.
The event was attended by the president and government members, political party leaders, members of parliament, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and artists.
After his speech, Erdoğan walked around the hall, greeting representatives of various parties. During this time, he shook hands and conversed with Babacan and Davutoğlu, even sitting next to them.
To Erdoğan's right were DEM Party co-chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları, and to his left was Ahmet Davutoğlu.
At the official reception, Erdoğan also met with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, DEM Party leaders, and other opposition party leaders. DEM Party co-chair Tülay Hatimoğulları stated that they conveyed a message regarding the acceleration of legislative processes during the meeting. DEVA leader Ali Babacan also drew attention to the importance of committee work.
