Elon Musk has gone down in history as the first person whose wealth exceeded 500 billion dollars. Musk, whose wealth surpassed 400 billion dollars in December, currently leads Larry Ellison, who ranks second, by 150 billion dollars and is rapidly progressing towards becoming the world's first trillionaire.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that Tesla's shares rose by approximately 4 percent, adding about 9.3 billion dollars to Musk's net worth. The electric car manufacturer's share price has approximately doubled since Musk announced in April at a conference on the company's financial results that he was stepping down as head of President Trump's government's Department of Efficiency to dedicate more time to Tesla.
Tesla's market capitalization has returned to a level close to the historical maximum achieved in December. Musk's 12 percent stake in the company is currently valued at 191 billion dollars. Experts believe that if Elon Musk continues at this pace, he could become the world's first trillionaire by March 2033.
