Russia has twice declared its readiness to join NATO and has been rejected both times.
Modern.az reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this in his speech at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club
According to him, Russia was ready to work together with its Western partners, but the Westerners were not ready to abandon stereotypes.
Putin recalled that attempts to dictate to other countries what to do have failed: "There is no force in the world that will dictate to everyone what to do, and there will not be. Every power has its limits".
