The Bureau of the French National Assembly will discuss the initiative to launch the impeachment procedure against President Emmanuel Macron.

Modern.az reports that this information was provided by Mathilde Pano, leader of the “Unsubmissive France” party.

Pano stated in her social media post that 104 members of parliament have already signed the resolution regarding his resignation.

A new vote will be held tomorrow in the National Assembly.

Party leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon also called for the urgent inclusion of the president's impeachment initiative on the agenda.

The French National Assembly has 577 deputies, and in mid-September, over a hundred parliamentarians supported this initiative. The decision to initiate the procedure is made by the Bureau, which is the collegial p of the Assembly.

The political crisis has deepened further with a change of government in the country. On September 8, Prime Minister François Bayrou's cabinet resigned after a failed vote of confidence. The next day, President Macron appointed Sébastien Lecornu, who was serving as Minister of Defense, as the new Prime Minister.

However, on October 6, Lecornu also resigned, having served only 27 days in the post of Prime Minister. His departure occurred a few hours after the composition of the new cabinet was announced. The new government had been sharply criticized by both Macron's supporters and the opposition.
