Restrictions on gasoline sales in Russia have also been applied to two more regions – Tyumen and Sverdlovsk oblasts. Previously, the same step was taken in Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk oblasts, and occupied Crimea.
Modern.az reports that the “H-1” gas station network in Tyumen city has imposed a limit on gasoline sales starting from October 7.
Currently, it is possible to purchase a maximum of 30 liters of AI-92 and AI-95 fuel per purchase. Company representatives claim that “there is no deficit,” and the restrictions have been implemented to “discourage gasoline buyers from purchasing in bulk with jerry cans.”
At the same time, AI-95 gasoline is sold only with fuel cards at the TPK network. The company has linked this step to “a shortage of a certain type of fuel,” but it is unclear how long the restrictions will remain in effect.
A similar situation has arisen in Sverdlovsk Oblast. Local residents report that the sale of gasoline in jerry cans is prohibited at “Lukoil” gas stations, and there is no fuel at all in the “Bashneft” network. At Tamic Energy and Varta stations, only 30 liters of fuel are dispensed per vehicle.
AI-95 brand gasoline has completely run out at the “Karavan” network, while other types are limited to 20 liters.
Limits had also been previously applied at the same network's stations in Yekaterinburg: 20 liters of gasoline and 30 liters of diesel per vehicle.
The situation is more tense in Novosibirsk Oblast: the “Prime” network has stopped selling AI-92 at most stations. The company justifies this decision by “the cessation of supplies from oil refineries.” As a result, fuel prices have sharply increased, and one liter of AI-92 at “Tatneft” stations has risen by 6 rubles in just two days.
In Chelyabinsk Oblast, a limit of 30 liters of gasoline and 70 liters of diesel has been applied to vehicles at “Tamic Energy” stations.
