Former professional tennis player Anna Kournikova, once the most searched woman on Google, now leads a quiet life away from the spotlight.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the 44-year-old Kournikova is currently pregnant with her fourth child from singer Enrique Iglesias.
For the past 15 years, the athlete has consciously avoided publicity and led a private life. She lives with Iglesias in a $26 million mansion in Miami and dedicates her life entirely to her family.
Kournikova and Iglesias are not officially married, but they are raising three children together: seven-year-old twins Lucy and Nicholas, and five-year-old Mary. While Iglesias tours and releases music, Anna prefers to spend her days with her family, doing Pilates, shopping, and raising her children.
Her life is private: Kournikova rarely appears in public or shares anything on social media. Their home in the gated Bay Point neighborhood is securely protected by a high fence and dense trees, and even has a private bridge.
In January, paparazzi captured new photos of Kournikova for the first time in two years – she was seen in a wheelchair with her daughters and friends at Bal Harbour shops. At that time, Kournikova was wearing an orthopedic brace.
Anna Kournikova retired from professional sports in 2003 due to back and leg injuries. She was a tennis player who managed to rise to 8th place in the world rankings. Anna achieved her greatest success competing with Martina Hingis, winning two Grand Slam titles.
Her popularity had long transcended sports: at 16, she became a famous sex symbol, signing multi-million dollar endorsement deals with Adidas, Puma, Omega, and other brands.
Kournikova's last major media appearance was in 2010 on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" show.
"When I was pregnant, I reduced my workload and realized that I wanted to dedicate all my time to my children. Being with them is happiness; I don't want to miss a single second."
Enrique Iglesias supports her stance and at the same time does not consider marriage necessary: "I never thought marriage would change anything. I don't think a marriage certificate will make you love more."
Today, Anna Kournikova has focused all her attention on her family, and the couple is expecting their fourth child.
