Russia will support US President Donald Trump receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov to journalist Alexander Yunashev.
“I think that if we are asked, we will support it".
Ushakov added that he was surprised by Ukraine's readiness to support Trump as a Nobel laureate if it provides long-range “Tomahawk” missiles to Kyiv.
"That is, a peace prize for arms supplies. The idea itself is terrible, but if people think this way, it says a lot about who they are", - the presidential aide stated.
Previously, the American president's nomination for the award was supported by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and government officials from Cambodia, Gabon, Pakistan, and Rwanda.
A day earlier, commenting on the agreement between Israel and Hamas, Trump had stated that the US “has achieved the end of seven wars, and this is the eighth”.
