Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump for the second time in the last 24 hours.
Modern.az reports that V. Zelensky announced this on his “Telegram” page.
“I just spoke with US President Donald Trump for the second time in two days, and we had a very productive conversation today as well,” Zelensky said.
According to him, the same issues were discussed as in the talks held on October 11 – strengthening Ukraine's air defense, as well as assistance in restoring the energy sector. The provision of long-range weapons to Ukraine was also discussed separately.
"President Trump is well informed about everything that is happening. We agreed to continue our conversation, and the teams are preparing. Thank you!", the President added.
It should be noted that Zelensky stated that during a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump on October 11, he discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defense system in the face of Russia's attacks on the energy sector.
According to US media reports, discussions are underway regarding the possibility of equipping Ukraine with new “Patriot” air defense missile systems. However, the parties also discussed the possible future supply of American “Tomahawk” cruise missiles to Ukraine.
