Following the agreement on a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine on October 8, activities aimed at delivering humanitarian aid from Turkey to the Gaza Strip have accelerated.

Modern.az reports that the Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration has issued a statement regarding this.

The statement noted that a convoy of aid, consisting of 100 trucks sent from Turkey to the region, was delivered from El-Arish city in Egypt to the Karem Abu Salem border crossing.

Within this framework, the passage of 333 trucks of aid to Gaza has been ensured since July 27 of this year.

On October 13, an additional 20 trucks of aid belonging to Turkey, as well as tents, will be sent to the region.

It was noted that from October 7, 2023, until today, a total of 101,725 tons of humanitarian aid has been sent from Turkey to Gaza via 16 ships and 14 aircraft.
