All living hostages held by Hamas since October 2023 have been released.
According to Israeli media, the 20 released individuals were handed over to the Israeli side through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Modern.az reports that a Hamas representative also confirmed in a statement “that the organization no longer holds any living hostages.”
According to Israel's “Channel 9” television channel, the second group of 13 released individuals was delivered to Israel after being handed over to Red Cross representatives.
Among the released individuals are names such as Rom Breslavski, Bar Kuperstein, Nimrod Cohen, Evyatar David, Elkana Buchbut, Segev Kalfon, Avinatan Or, Yosef Haim Ohana, Maxim Kharkin, Eitan Horn, Matan Tsangaoker, David Cunio and Ariel Cunio.
According to the information, Maxim Kharkin is from the city of Donetsk and is the son of Russian citizen Talla Kharkina. His name has been mentioned repeatedly over the past two years in both Israeli and international media as one of the individuals held hostage by Hamas.
