US President Donald Trump and his family have earned more than $1 billion in profit from cryptocurrency projects over the past year.
Modern.az reports that "Financial Times" (FT) published information regarding this.
The newspaper writes that the increase in income occurred against the backdrop of the administration's policies stimulating the cryptosphere.
According to the information, among the family's main sources of income are memecoins named Official Trump (TRUMP) and Official Melania Meme (MELANIA). A total profit of approximately $427 million was obtained from these two assets. The largest income came from a project named World Liberty Financial (WLFI), this cryptocurrency brought the Trump family approximately $550 million.
In addition, the sales volume of the stablecoin named USD1, issued by the company, exceeded $2.71 billion.
FT notes that these figures include only realized (cashed out) incomes.
