The Armenian authorities are interested in participating in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and Moscow is ready to support Yerevan in this matter.
Modern.az reports that Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin stated this on the “Abovyan time” program broadcast on “Sputnik Armenia” radio.
The diplomat noted that membership in the EAEU brings real benefits to Armenia, while prospects in the European direction are quite uncertain.
According to Kopyrkin, the issue of Armenia's membership in the European Union is a rather difficult topic, as it consists of complex procedures requiring a lot of time and effort - some countries have been waiting for EU membership for decades. Therefore, this issue is more speculative for Armenia.
