The Kingdom of Thailand has declared a one-year mourning period in connection with the death of former Queen Sirikit.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in a declaration by the royal palace.
It should be noted that Sirikit, who passed away yesterday at the age of 93, had long battled illnesses and had been receiving treatment in a hospital since 2019. Sirikit was the wife of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Her son, Maha Vajiralongkorn, is the current King of Thailand.
