“Lukoil”'s shares fell by 7.2% on the Moscow Exchange. As a result, the company's owner Vahid Alakbarov lost more than 1 billion dollars in two days.
Modern.az reports that Lukoil's market capitalization decreased by 297 billion rubles, and together with Rosneft, the total losses of Russia's largest oil companies after the imposition of US sanctions amounted to 424 billion rubles (5.2 billion dollars).
The sanctions also affect the subsidiaries of Rosneft and Lukoil. This step could complicate export supplies.
