Moscow police have opened a criminal case under the hooliganism article after a mass brawl involving workers armed with bats and shovels near the Prokshino residential complex.
Modern.az reports that, according to Irina Volk, spokesperson for the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs, 40 people have been detained.
She noted that foreign nationals involved in the brawl would be held accountable.
"Foreign citizens who are not sentenced to imprisonment will be deported from our country and subsequently denied entry in accordance with established legal procedures. The implementation of this measure is overseen by the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs," she added.
Residents of the residential complex reported that the workers were arguing over renovated property and that parked cars were damaged.
