Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov are personally leading the operations in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad direction.
Modern.az reports that, according to Ukrainian media, both high-ranking military officials are directly involved in the city's defense and are overseeing the process from the operational headquarters.

According to the Ukrainian army, the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces conducted a successful parachute-free landing operation in the Pokrovsk district. As a result of the operation, Ukrainian units gained a tactical advantage in several blocks of the city.
Currently, the situation in Pokrovsk remains tense and volatile. The number of Ukrainian army groups is increasing, and they are working to disrupt and block the supply routes of the Russian army.
According to Ukrainian sources, special units of the Intelligence Directorate were also involved in the operation. They were landed near Pokrovsk with two “UH-60A Black Hawk” helicopters. The helicopters attempted to evade radars by flying at low altitudes. Footage of the operation has been circulated on social media.
Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Ukrainian servicemen are repelling attacks by thousands of Russian servicemen in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad area.
According to him, although the enemy attempted to infiltrate the city and cut off supply routes, Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad have not been encircled.
