Turkey's Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya arrived in the Sighnaghi region, where a C-1302 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces crashed on Georgian territory.
Modern.az reports that the minister wrote about this on his 'X' social media platform account.
The minister inquired about the search and rescue operations being conducted in the area where the aircraft crashed.
The Turkish side also sent a search and rescue team and unmanned aerial vehicles to the area where the military cargo plane crashed.
According to the information, a search and rescue team from the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has also departed for Georgia.
It is noted that since the aircraft crashed in a mountainous area, a special type of rescue team has departed for Georgia.
It is also noted that Turkey has deployed its 'Akıncı' unmanned aerial vehicles to assist in the search and rescue efforts, and they are expected to join the search within a few hours.
