A C-130 military transport aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force crashed in Georgian airspace yesterday during a flight from Azerbaijan.

Images circulated on social networks show the aircraft's cockpit and tail section fragmented.

These frames have led to various speculations in Turkish public opinion and social media, including hypotheses about the aircraft allegedly being “shot down”.

According to information from **Modern.az**, after the incident, the Russian Embassy in Ankara offered condolences to Turkey.

However, some social media users began to blame Russia for the crash. In response to posts such as “Russia shot down our plane,” the embassy wrote from its official account: “How can such an idea even occur to you?”

The Russian Embassy later published a map of the area where the C-130 crashed, emphasizing that the region had no connection with Russia.

At the same time, in response to another user making similar accusations, the embassy noted: “We are not your enemy. We are trying to improve relations between Russia and Turkey.”

It should be noted that 20 servicemen of the Turkish army were martyred as a result of the incident.
