Erdoğan received the President of Northern Cyprus

The newly elected President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Tufan Erhürman, has traveled to Ankara.

Modern.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Tufan Erhürman with an official ceremony.

Tufan Erhürman, who was elected President of the TRNC after the elections held on October 19, made his first international visit to Turkey at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Erhürman was welcomed by Erdoğan at the Presidential Residence.

After the two leaders took their places in the ceremony square, the Turkish National Anthem was played.

The ceremony also featured flags and soldiers representing the 16 Turkish states established throughout history.

After the introduction of the delegation participating in the welcoming ceremony, Erdoğan and Erhürman posed for a photograph in front of the flags of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
