The UK's BBC broadcasting corporation has apologized to US President Donald Trump.

Modern.az reports that the reason for this was BBC's incorrect editing of Trump's speech.

Despite this, the corporation refused to pay compensation to Trump and stated that there was no basis for the US president's defamation claim.

The aforementioned scandal arose after the broadcast of the Panorama program. The show's editors edited Trump's speech during the Capitol building assault in 2021 in such a way as to imply that he incited the crowd to riot and violence.
