The apartment of Georgia's former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Tbilisi has been confiscated.
Modern.az reports that the “TV Pirveli” channel disseminated information about this.
It was stated that Garibashvili, instead of paying a bail of one million lari, used his real estate.
His lawyer confirmed the information to the TV channel.
It should be noted that Garibashvili is accused of legalizing particularly large amounts of income with the aim of acquiring significant profits. The Tbilisi City Court, on October 24, chose a pre-trial measure of one million lari bail against him. A 30-day period was set for the payment of the bail.
It should be recalled that Garibashvili held the post of Prime Minister of Georgia in 2013-2015 and 2021-2024. He was elected chairman of the ruling “Georgian Dream” party on February 1, 2024, and on April 25 of this year, he announced his departure from politics by resigning from his post.
