Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the heads of the defense and security sector.
Modern.az reports that at the meeting, the heads of the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence (GUR) and the Foreign Intelligence Service reported on the situation at the front, Russia's plans for the coming months, and political processes within Russia.
According to Zelensky, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, provided information on the situation in critical areas of the front, Russia's preparations for new offensives, and the timelines set by Moscow for military operations. He stated that the deadlines set by the Russian leadership for the occupation of Pokrovsk and Kupyansk have once again not been met and have been postponed.
During the meeting, Ukraine's priority directions for defense in the coming weeks were identified, and additional preparatory measures related to the winter season were agreed upon.
Zelensky also noted that Ukraine will continue to implement “long-range sanctions.” Special services and the Armed Forces are working on the implementation of this mechanism.
The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, presented the latest information on the political situation in Russia, public sentiment, tensions around the country's leadership, and the economic situation.
