An attempt to blow up Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu was prevented at Troekurovskoye cemetery in Moscow.
Modern.az reports that the information was disseminated by Russian media.
It was reported that the terrorist act was planned on November 12, on the anniversary of Shoigu's mother's death, at the behest of Ukraine. According to the investigation's version, the perpetrators involved a man and a woman with drug addiction, as well as a Tajik migrant wanted in Russia for murder and illegal possession of weapons, to organize the explosion.
According to the information, the foreign national prepared the improvised explosive device, and the couple took it to Troekurovskoye cemetery on November 11, one day before the anniversary, and placed it next to the grave of Sergey Shoigu's mother, Alexandra Shoigu. A camera was also installed nearby to monitor the situation and activate the detonator when Shoigu visited the cemetery.
It should be noted that on November 14, the Russian Federal Security Service released footage related to the neutralization of the improvised bomb and the arrest of the suspects. (Source: APA)
