Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the adoption of a new Constitution in the country is important to strengthen the internal legitimacy of the government.
Modern.az reports that he voiced this idea during his public address.
Pashinyan said that Armenia considers the protection of its internationally recognized territorial integrity a priority, and the updated Constitution should play a key legal mechanism role in this direction.
“Strengthening our internal legitimacy is a fundamental issue, and this should be reflected in the adoption of the new Constitution,” – he noted.
Constitutional reforms in Armenia have become a widespread topic of discussion in recent months. The process related to the preparation of the new document is expected to accelerate next year.
