Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro has been arrested.
Modern.az citing Reuters, reports that a decision has been made regarding the former head of state, who was sentenced to 27 years in prison for a coup attempt and appealed the verdict while under house arrest.
The politician's lawyer has not disclosed the reason for his detention. However, a source who wished to remain anonymous told journalists that this is a precautionary measure related to his house arrest conditions.
On September 12, Brazil's Supreme Federal Court sentenced Bolsonaro to 27 years and 3 months in prison. He is accused of attempting a coup d'état. Three of the five Supreme Court justices upheld the court's verdict.
