Yesterday, news spread in the press about the killing of Pakistan's imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to information from Modern.az, the "Afghanistan Times" media portal was cited as the initial source of the news.
It was claimed that his p was removed from the prison. The "Islamabad Post" newspaper, in turn, reported that militants of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf movement attempted to enter Adiala prison.
However, official sources denied the information today.
The administration of Pakistan's Adiala prison issued a statement, announcing that the rumors circulating about Imran Khan's health are unfounded and that he is being provided with comprehensive medical assistance.
Furthermore, the prison administration also denied reports regarding the possibility of his transfer to another location.
It should be recalled that Imran Khan and his wife were sentenced to 14 years in prison in January 2024 on corruption charges. In addition, he received another 10-year prison sentence for disclosing state secrets.
