Despite the conflict, the special services of Russia and Ukraine maintain constant contact with each other and continue cooperation on humanitarian issues, including the exchange of prisoners of war.
Modern.az reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this at a press conference held in Bishkek. He emphasized that cooperation between the special services of the two countries has not ceased even during the most difficult periods.
“Our special services have always been in contact with each other and are currently in contact,” the Russian President noted.
Putin also drew attention to the active use of the Abu Dhabi platform for such meetings. He stated that the last meeting held in the UAE took place at the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
“Nothing unusual or secret happened there. One of the leaders of the Federal Security Service participated in that meeting on behalf of Russia,” he stated.
The Russian President also expressed his gratitude to the UAE leadership for the assistance provided.
