The Parliament of Moldova has approved the denunciation of the agreement on visa-free travel for citizens of CIS countries in the first reading.
Modern.az reports that this was announced by the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu.
According to the information, the Government of Moldova approved on November 12 the denunciation of seven agreements signed within the framework of the CIS, including the agreement on visa-free movement for citizens of the participating states.
The agreement on visa-free travel for citizens of CIS countries was signed in Bishkek on October 9, 1992, and allowed citizens to stay in the country for up to 90 days without a visa.
The authors of the bill noted that currently, Moldova has bilateral agreements on visa-free regime with all CIS countries, with the exception of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
