Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with a group of bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church and published a video recording of the meeting on his social media account.
According to Modern.az, earlier, a group of high-ranking clerics of the Armenian Apostolic Church had issued a statement protesting the inaction of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, who attempted to cover up the actions of Arshak Khachatryan, head of the Chancellery of Etchmiadzin Cathedral.
In that statement, the clerics demanded that Archbishop Arshak resign from the leadership of Etchmiadzin Cathedral.
The priests who met with Pashinyan stated that the Prime Minister was right in his demands.
It should be recalled that Nikol Pashinyan states that Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II should resign from the leadership of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
