Latvia has completed the delivery of 42 “Patria” armored personnel carriers to Kyiv.
Modern.az reports that Baiba Braže, the Foreign Minister of the Baltic republic, wrote about this on her social media account. “Latvia has completed the delivery of 42 “Patria” 6x6 armored personnel carriers to the Ukrainian army,” the minister stated. According to her, the delivery of armored personnel carriers confirms Latvia's commitment to allocate 0.25 percent of its gross domestic product annually for military aid to Ukraine.
It should be noted that in 2019, Finland and Latvia launched a joint program for the development of modern armored personnel carriers. Sweden and Germany also participate in the program. According to the Finnish Ministry of Defense, within the framework of the project, Helsinki has ordered 164, Latvia more than 250, and Sweden a total of 321 armored personnel carriers.
