Former head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration, Andriy Yermak, has made his first statement since his resignation.
Modern.az reports that despite being dismissed from his post on November 28, he stated that he has no grievances against President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“He was my friend before this job, and he will remain my friend after it. I bear no grudge against him,” Yermak told the "Financial Times".
The former head of the administration also touched upon the peace plan negotiations put forward by US President Donald Trump. According to Yermak, the Ukrainian delegation led by him achieved significant changes together with American partners in Geneva.
“Under our leadership, the document was reduced from 28 articles to 19 articles. The new version is more acceptable for Ukraine,” Yermak emphasized.
He stated that some points in the document are still difficult to agree upon, but he believes that it is possible to reach an agreement on them as well.
Yermak added that despite all pressures, President Zelenskyy will neither sign nor approve any document that contradicts the country's security and sovereignty: “Even under pressure, the President will not accept anything that is not in Ukraine's interests.”
